Product Description
The IQAir GCX MultiGas high-performance air cleaner is the air filtration unit for the control of the broadest range of gas and chemical pollutants.
With a gas filtration module containing 9.8kg of high-quality granulated carbon and impregnated alumina, the GCX MultiGas captures and retains the widest spectrum of chemical and gas pollutants.
Despite standing only 102cm high, the IQAir GCX MultiGas air cleaner has an air displacement capacity of 540m3, delivering significant room air changes very quietly and in a very short period of time.
Each unit undergoes rigorous individual testing and certification. The system's performance is documented with a personally signed certificate, detailing the results of filtration efficiency and airflow tests. IQAir guarantees a minimum total system efficiency of 99% for airborne particles ≥ 0.3 μm and a maximum air delivery rate of up to 540 m3/h for GCX models.

3D Ultra-Seal
The capability of IQAir GCX MultiGas air filtration unit to effectively filter all the air in a room implies that no air bypasses the filters in the unit. The sealing within each filter, the filter to the housing, and the housing itself are an essential requirement.
The innovative IQAir 3D ultra seal edge in groove seal between each filter frame and housing has been developed to ensure perfect seals throughout each IQAir GCX MultiGas air cleaner unit.
Tested and Certified
IQAir individually tests each IQAir GCX MultiGas stand-alone air cleaner to ensure that its performance meets the strict specifications. The results of the tests are noted on a hand-signed Certificate of Performance, which is shipped with every IQAir GCX MultiGas high-performance air filtration system.
New Edition Fan
The new three-dimensionally optimised the design of the IQAir GCX MultiGas air cleaner’s fan uses state-of-the-art aerodynamics to convert energy into more air movement and less noise. Capable of massive air delivery at lower speeds, the units provide exceptional performance at low noise levels.
The fan of the IQAir GCX MultiGas high-performance air filtration system is individually balanced and is suspended in a housing unit that isolates the fan from the housing with eight shock absorbers to further reduce noise.
Standalone
Each IQAir air filtration unit is self-contained, requiring only mains power to operate. This ease of installation, coupled with the ability to move each unit to the location where it is required means that any staff can deploy the unit wherever it is required.

Filtration Technology
GCX MultiGas Filtration Stages
The GCX achieves its filtration efficiencies over three filtration stages:
1. GCX Pre-Filter H11 (XL)
Removes particulate contamination before it can reach the MultiGas media. This extends the life of the MultiGas media and gives superb protection against particulate contamination. The particulate filtration of the GC and GCX systems complements the gaseous filtration process by removing up to 99% of particulates before they can reach the gas phase media. This increases the efficiency and life of the media by preventing its pores from clogging with particles. The systems’ overall filtration efficiency for airborne particles is ≥ 99% at ≥ 0.3 μm, including PM2.5, allergens, bacteria and viruses.
2. GCX MultiGas Cartridge-Filter Set
9.8kg of the highest grade granular activated carbon and potassium permanganate impregnated alumina is housed in four cylindrical shaped cartridges. The large surface area of the cartridges and cylindrical shape promotes high system efficiency.
3. GCX Post-Filter Sleeve Set
The final stage of the three filtration stages adds another HEPA class filter which stops particles, produced as a by-product of stage 2, being released by the system.
