In addition, the IQAir GCX VOC air filtration unit will capture and retain a wide spectrum of solvents and alcohols as well as ozone.
The three-stage filtration of the IQAir GCX high-performance air cleaning unit comprises a HEPA H11 pre-filter, a VOC gas filtration set, and four electrostatically charged fibre post-filter sleeves.

Individual Filter Stages
Air is drawn into the H11 GCX HEPA™ Pre-Filter which captures and retains micro-particles such as coarse and fine dust, pollen, and mould spores - protecting the subsequent filters.
Granular Activated Carbon
GCX VOC Gas Cartridge-Filter Set uses 7.8kg of granular activated carbon adsorption to eliminate volatile organic compounds and other harmful chemicals and gases.
Electrostatically Charged Fibre Sleeves
Finally, the GCX Post-Filter Sleeve Set of four electrostatically charged fibre sleeves prevents any particles generated in the VOC Gas Cartridge-Filter Set from being discharged into the clean air stream.
Zero Off-Gassing PVC
IQAir uses no technologies that add additional MCS triggers into the air, such as ozone or other chemicals. All IQAir GCX VOC air filtration units products are constructed of selected ABS plastics that do not “off-gas” into the air.
When air filtration requirements vary with time, the IQAir GCX VOC air filtration units can be programmed with different fan speeds at different times of the day or night, with pre-programmed start and stop times.
Different fan speeds can be set for each programme period, with individual settings for each day of the week.
Side Control Panel
A factory upgrades to any new IQAir GCX VOC air filtration unit, the SMC side mount control panel ensures full visibility when the unit is wall mounted. The remote control sensor, filter status display and fan settings can also be controlled via the supplied remote handset.
GCX VOC Filtration Stages
The GCX achieves its filtration efficiencies over three filtration stages:
1. GCX Pre-Filter H11 (XL)
Removes particulate contamination before it can reach the VOC media. This extends the life of the VOC media and gives superb protection against particulate contamination.
2. GCX VOC Cartridge-Filter Set
7.8kg of the highest grade granular activated carbon and potassium permanganate impregnated alumina is housed in four cylindrical shaped cartridges. The large surface area of the cartridges and cylindrical shape promotes high system efficiency.
3. GCX Post-Filter Sleeve Set
The final stage of the three filtration stages adds another HEPA class filter which stops particles, produced as a by-product of stage 2, being released by the system.
