Product Description

The IQAir GC AM air cleaner is the air filtration unit for the capture and control of ammonia and amino acid contamination and odours.

With 5.4 kg of high-quality AM granular activated carbon filter media, the IQAir GC AM air cleaner is the most effective air filtration unit for capturing and retaining ammonia.

Fine and ultra-fine particle contamination is handled by the GC AM air cleaner’s extra-large HEPA filter, which also protects the ammonia filtration media from contamination by dust and airborne particulates.

High Quality Activated Carbon Filter Media

Due to its higher filtration capacity and low dust-generating properties, the IQAir GC AM high-performance air cleaner uses a high-quality granulated carbon filter media, in preference to regular carbon which is mostly processed from coconut husk.

Intelligent Filter Life Monitor

The IQAir GC AM high-performance system is equipped with an electronic Filter Life Monitor which calculates the remaining life of the system’s filters. When other manufacturers quote a fixed filter life, they often do not account for the actual pollution levels, fan speed, or the system’s actual operating time.

The monitor of the IQAir GC AM high-performance system calculates the remaining filter life based on past use of the system, and also its likely future use based on an internal database of filter life under specific conditions.

Filter Life Status Display

The predicted life of each individual filter of the IQAir GC AM high-performance air cleaner is displayed on the LCD display, in remaining hours of use. This provides useful information in addition to the filter life LEDs for scheduling maintenance.

EvenFlow Diffuser

Conventional air cleaners return filtered air into the environment through a small, noisy outlet. The IQAir GC series is designed with a 320-degree EvenFlow™ Diffuser to supply more air in more directions without draughts or noise.

Filtration Technology

The GC achieves its filtration efficiencies over three filtration stages:

1. GC Pre-Filter H11 (XL) Removes particulate contamination before it can reach the AM media. This extends the life of the AM media and provides superb protection against particulate contamination.

2. GC AM Cartridge-Filter Set 5.4 kg of the highest grade granular activated carbon and potassium permanganate-impregnated alumina is housed in four cylindrical-shaped cartridges. The large surface area of the cartridges and cylindrical shape promotes high system efficiency.

3. GC Post-Filter Sleeve Set The final stage of the three filtration stages adds another HEPA class filter, which stops particles produced as a by-product of stage 2 from being released by the system
