Product Description
The IQAir GC Acid Pro is a high-performance air filtration unit specifically designed for enhanced performance in removing acid gases from the air. It is ideal for environments where superior removal of corrosive airborne contaminants is essential.
The GC Acid Pro is a powerful gas filtration module containing 5.4 kg of high-quality granulated carbon and impregnated alumina. In addition, the system incorporates IQAir AcidPro media, which consists of specially formulated granular activated carbon pellets impregnated with potassium hydroxide. This enhances the system’s ability to remove acid gases through a combination of adsorption, absorption, and oxidation. During this chemisorption process, gases adhere to the media surface and are chemically converted into inert compounds, enabling the removal of a wide variety of gaseous contaminants with high efficiency.
Despite its compact size—standing only 102 cm high—the GC Acid Pro offers an impressive air displacement capacity of up to 540 m³/h, providing rapid and quiet air changes even in larger indoor spaces.
Each unit undergoes rigorous individual testing and certification to ensure consistent quality and performance. Every system is accompanied by a personally signed certificate detailing the results of filtration efficiency and airflow tests. IQAir guarantees a minimum total system efficiency of 99% for airborne particles ≥ 0.3 μm, ensuring exceptional air purification performance in demanding applications.

3D Ultra-Seal
The capability of the IQAir GC Acid Pro air filtration unit to effectively filter all the air in a room implies that no air bypasses the filters in the unit. The sealing within each filter, the filter to the housing, and the housing itself are an essential requirement.
The innovative IQAir 3D Ultra-Seal edge-in-groove seal between each filter frame and housing has been developed to ensure perfect seals throughout each IQAir GC Acid Pro air cleaner unit.
Tested and Certified
IQAir individually tests each IQAir GC Acid Pro stand-alone air cleaner to ensure that its performance meets the strict specifications. The results of the tests are noted on a hand-signed Certificate of Performance, which is shipped with every IQAir GC Acid Pro high-performance air filtration system.
New Edition Fan
The new three-dimensionally optimised design of the IQAir GC Acid Pro air cleaner’s fan uses state-of-the-art aerodynamics to convert energy into more air movement and less noise. Capable of massive air delivery at lower speeds, the units provide exceptional performance at low noise levels.
The fan of the IQAir GC Acid Pro high-performance air filtration system is individually balanced and is suspended in a housing unit that isolates the fan from the housing with eight shock absorbers to further reduce noise.
Standalone
Each IQAir air filtration unit is self-contained, requiring only mains power to operate. This ease of installation, coupled with the ability to move each unit to the location where it is required, means that any staff can deploy the unit wherever it is needed.
Housing Design
The patented IQAir housing design facilitates the effortless and tool-free replacement of individual filter elements, simplifying maintenance.
Filtration Technology
1) GC Pre-Filter H11 (XL) Removes particulate contamination before it reaches the Acid Pro media. This extends the life of the chemical filtration media and provides excellent protection against airborne particulates. The particulate filtration of the GC system complements the gas-phase filtration by eliminating up to 99% of particulates before they can reach and obstruct the media. This prevents pore clogging, thereby improving both efficiency and longevity. The system’s overall filtration efficiency for airborne particles is ≥ 99% at ≥ 0.3 μm, including PM2.5, allergens, bacteria, and viruses.
2) GC Acid Pro Cartridge-Filter Set Contains 5.4 kg of premium granular activated carbon impregnated with potassium hydroxide, housed in four cylindrical cartridges. The specially formulated media enhances the removal of acid gases through adsorption, absorption, and chemical reaction. The large surface area and cylindrical design of the cartridges maximise contact time and ensure high system efficiency.
3) GC Post-Filter Sleeve Set The final stage includes an additional HEPA-class post-filter that captures any particles generated as a by-product of gas-phase filtration, preventing their release into the environment.
